No shortage of ineptitude to choose from.................

Well ........... where to start ? Climate & Environment ....What a wonderful can o' worms this is turning out to be ... lets see ... we've set targets, and guesse what ? No-ones going to make them (in Europe at any rate, US has declined to even bother to address the issue) from a UK perspective, seems the Nuke banner is being waved ... despite the obvious safety issues, AND the obvious expense it's seen as a clean and green alternative ... HOW ??? Folk are even stating that windfarms are not cost effective 'cos they need to be replaced, in some cases within 20 years .. so what ? Resources used and abused to create a safe reactor and plant are exponentially larger than those used to build windfarms, however many times it may be required .. not to mention a little technicality known as 'half life'.... Oh yeah ... and they spoil the view (intentionally ambiguous statement, you decide if there is an aesthetic advantage to any power generator requiring pylons to transport the electricity) .... I know !!! Maybe WE could use less ????? And 4x4's ....Personal favourite this one .. yes, I have a 4x4, AND I pay 175 quid a year to tax it ... Why ? The whole sliding scale was set up as a scale of polluters, allegedly, but guesse what ? Mine's an LPG vehicle, as are a great many petrol driven ones ...and you know what ? It (& they ) are @ least 95% less than a baby petrol motor in most emissions emitted .. the 4x4 diesels are no worse than most diesel motors, which is to say terrible anyway !!! Binge drinking ..... I know, lets give the alcohol vending establishments a 24 hour wiindow in which to operate ........ Thats surely going to help isnt it .... Binge drinking . Update ....Suggestion has been made to increase the tax on 'alcopops' 'cos thats the preferred drink of teenagers ...I believe the suggestion was 'tax heavily' .... errrrrrrrrrrr somethin like 90% of the cost of beer NOW is tax ..... WHAT, may I ask constitutes HEAVY tax ???? .. (see 4x4 !! ;-) CRB checks ........ Great idea, let's see ..... we check the criminal record of applicants, and if they have one, especially a child related offence, we'll know they arent suitable for school employment ....... Seems the ministers found the scheme 'confusing' ...... Huh ????? Ah ! Ministers ..... how about geoorge galloway ? His publicity idea was to expose himself on big brother .. because .. more young people vote on big brother than a general election (? his words ...) ... so now they'll vote for you george ? Lemme see .......... No, probably not .. nor will they have much more faith in mp's ...... good job ! And while they're deliberating ... over whether marijuana should be up or down a class, because there are some reported psychological issues, alcohol will be freely available 24/7 so we can enjoy saturday night fracas in our well policed town centres and spend inordinate amounts of our health budget on repairing the perpetrators ..... not to mention the very well documented domestic abuse and deaths directly attributable to alcohol abuse ...... I know ! Let's victimise smokers ! ...... That'll help ..... so when do we start on the fat ? Oh yeah .. we have ....... Hmmmmmmm ........ just a thought, but, could we ostracise criminals instead ? You know, the folk who steal, murder, abuse ? maybe we could make them pay for their crimes ? While we're on that subject .....Prison ships are being suggested again .. sounds like a plan .. maybe prison submarines ? Keep the perps on deck for a quick trip around the mid atlantic ridge and come back to collect some more ?

Michael Scumacher	Agreed he has his flaws, (dont get me on the Damon Hill incident) but will we see such a brilliant and accomplished driver again ? Pity he didnt win the championship, but the last race was brilliant, started from 10th, got to 4th, had a puncture, was dead last, and came back to finish 4th ! truly stunning performance, not my favourite 'person' but my god what a driver ........
Jenson Button	Finally gets his maiden victory this year .. expect great things now ......
Common Sense	Apparently it's out there somewhere, if you catch sight of it, report it to an endangered species register near you ........... And send me a pic, it's been a looooooooooooooong time since I saw some in the wild ......
Moto GP	Poor Pedrosa is NEVER going to live down his Portugal performance, resulting in Hayden making a rapid dismount ... after such an impressive inaugural season too ....
