| Report ..... With opening brilliance, Chelsea scored in seconds against Liverpool. Saving a penalty to stay on top and win the match, much to the delight of the Manchester contingent who initiated a stadium collapse on completeion ! Manchester United followed with a 3-0 spanking of AC Milan. The match between AC Milan proving goalless, it was a tense 1-0 victory to Liverpool against Manchester Utd that kept the tournament open. Liverpool continued their winning streak against AC Milan, finally knocking Chelsea off the top spot. The return match between Liverpool & Chelsea was a 3-0 drubbing for Chelsea, ensuring Liverpool would probably win the league. With Liverpools victory secured at the end of the inaugural night, there was only second to play for, and of course worst x box player so far .... Chelsea opened brilliantly, maintaining an unprecidented pressure on Man Utd but alas after 31 shots on goal none materialised, with Manchester scoring a flukey slip, they secured second place for the time being. AC Milan opened well, and looked tasty for a potential win, which would have put the cat amongst the pigeons .... Alas, the evenings consumption held sway and Liverpool won 2 nil maintaining the status quo ..... |
