| Report ..... Finally a full compliment of players present .. Bram unviels the game, 'Crimson Skies', to some murmured assent and curiousity. Then the 'joker' is played ... ooooooh ... he's confident sez Dave ....... After rules, acclimatisation and refreshment, we're off ..... First up Bram & Andy, beginning ferociously, but becoming cagey, 1 Kill to Bram, Andy then proceeds to suicide 4 times, Bram is unscathed. Next up, Dave & Bones, Dave suicides early whilst watching the wrong section of screen, then takes first blood. In a confusing middle section, the match becomes grudgey, with both Bones and Dave shooting lumps out of each other..... Bones even declares 'I'm out in the open for ya...' cocky huh ? Never played it ? yeah .. right ... Then Dave shoots him down with 15 secs to go !!! Good match ....... Oh ! A Draw !!!!!! Bones & Andy ... Bones eventually implores Dave to 'stop telling him' as Dave declares 'Andy got away with that...' as Andy once again found the scenery ... Heh ! As Bones finds his groove, the words fish, barrel & shoot become linked as Andy gets spanked. Next, its Dave & Bram, a good fight, resulting in Bram taking a 2nd victory. Then on to Bones & Bram .. very cagey and probably some of the best dog-fighting, stunning match.. Bram wins, vindicating the joker !! Final play off is Dave & Andy ... First blood to Dave, and 2nd ...... and 3rd then Andy manages to tie the score, albeit briefly, as Dave exhibits some outstanding finesse, taking the final victory..... Scores ? Bram wins 3 out of 3, with Bones & Dave tied for 2nd with 1 win and a draw each .. as per the rules there must be a play off...... All is going well 'till Dave decides some gamesmanship is required and lands to change planes .....amidst this controversy, the game is not allowed, this means another play off .. still more gamesmanship but Dave takes the victory eventually ...... Andy (was he there ?) declares in concilation for Dave ... ' I was stiched up too ....' Now, which game was he playin' again ????? ! 8 points to Bram (joker) 3 points to Dave 2 points to Bones 1 point to Andy At the half way point of the series there is still everything to play for with Bones and Andy still to play a joker ..... |
